About the Totnes Festival

In the Top Ten of The World's Funkiest Towns according to British Airways' High Life Magazine, Totnes has something of a reputation!

The Festival is a celebration of the hugely diverse range of events and activities that go on in and around the town.

The Festival Committee invites anyone to submit an event for inclusion within the Festival programme. If you can organise the venue you need and have the drive and energy to make your event happen, then its in (subject to it not being party political  and in the spirit of the community nature of festival) The Festival Committee provide the coordination, marketing and publicity for the event which will give all the events the best chance of being successful. Events can be commercial, funded by grants or not-for-profit - there is no central pot of cash held by the Committee to subsidise events.

The Festival is a not-for-profit organisation. Any surplus money gets reinvested in future festivals.
